Hello,
Didn't know you guys/gals existed until today. I was looking for some help on a new PSU for my new build. I've read some here and looked at PartsPicker and looked at "tom's" and now my head is spinning.
I've been to the eXtreme calculator and entered:
i5-4670K
1 SSD
3 real SATA
1 DVD/CD-RW
3 PCI
2 USB
1 reader
3 120mm fans
I'm still assembling the parts so I'm not really sure the final config. The i5 is really 4690K but it was not on the drop-down. The MB is Giga Z97X-UD3H. The case is an old full size tower.
Anyway, the "calculator" says 294W with recommended 344W.
The PartsPicker has a HUGE listing in the 350-450 range. My checkbook says to stay under $90 but prefers 50-80. Some I have glanced at had good "stars" but no reviews in the last 12 months. Been :wall: trying to figure this out.
I'm asking for guidance and suggestions.
