The main character Saeki Reiji (Rei), lives in the middle of nowhere when he dies in accident. He suddenly finds himself in a white world talking to a mysteirous ball of light.

The ball of light is actually a powerful magician from another world. He has been searching for someone whose soul has a specific frequency that can inherit his memories and magic.

The main character is faced with the choice of normal death & rebirth or inheriting the magicians skills and being reincarnated with his memories in a new body created by the magician in the world of swords and magic that the magician lived.

Soon after the main character wakes up in his new body he makes use of a summoning magic circle left in the house of the magician to summon a familiar and ends up summoning a Death Scythe and a Griffon.

The death scythe acts a magic caster/melee weapon, and the Griffon, he names Seto, has similar to human intelliect and stays permanently summoned to accompany him on his adventurers in his new life.

Some outdoor exploration, war, a labyrinth city ark, ranking up as an adventurer, etc...

The main character doesn't have much personality at the start... He's literally just a guy, from the middle of nowhere.

He can use some magic, has a ton of mana, his new body has considerably high physical capabilities, and he gets the death scythe/griffon/some other magic items left in the house by the magician. His initial rank strength equivalent would probably be about B (Seto is A rank monster), though they both power up over time. (He still has to start from the lowest rank as an adventurer and there's no real method for skipping ranks in this story)

No? The main character is hetare, there's a primary female lead that has mutual interest in the MC, though the development is slow. There's some other female characters that have interest in the MC, though he doesn't show any interest and stays focused on the heroine for the most part. May change with some of the more recent developments.

One chapter everyday since like 2013, leading to 650+ chapters. The pace is a bit slow, but there's a lot of developments and it's a pretty good all around adventure series.

The unique aspect of scythe as main weapon and his partner being a Griffon is unusual as well.
