Anime skins for phones and laptops?

So, I'm getting a new laptop (horray) and I see there are lots of sites that let you create your own skins for them.....but they also say no copyright images:(



I don't like any of the anime skins on amazon (most are ugly colors and just silhouettes of the characters (boring) and I really want to just upload some from my favorite shoujo manga to use as a skin instead. (I want one for my iphone too)



Has anyone been able to get a custom anime skin for your phone or laptop? Just how bad are the "consequences" of copyright infringement for something like this?



I would love some advice or links.
