looking for adventure anime

I'm looking for adventure anime. I would like it to be set in the past. If it could be can the main character be a girl no older than 16.



I would like the main character to travel places outside of Japan. The anime doesn't have to be in Japan. I wouldn't care if there was romance in it.



Please no action or supernatural etc. Or ecchi.



I would also like it if the character met people to travel with along the way. Please don't let it be tragic. I want a good ending.
