Seasonic M12II-520W loud fan -> Higher PSU needed

lundi 29 décembre 2014

Hi,

I bought this PC a few months ago:

i5-4670K@4.3Ghz 1.16V

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Asus Ranger VII

Sapphire 7850 (replaced with 290 tri-x)

G.Skill 2x4GB 2133Mhz 1.65V

Samsung SSD 120GB

2 x HDD (72000rpm)

Sound Card: Asus Xonar D2X (PCI)

Seasonic M12II 520W

As stated, I replaced my old 7850 with a new 290. When overclocking and under load the PSU's fan starts making a lot of noise (even more than the GPU).

I think it's safe to assume that a higher potency PSU is needed.

I have been reading quite a lot regarding which one I should buy.

I live in spain and I have found the following PSUs.

Enermax Revolution 720W for 99€

(I know 730W is too much, but the 630W one costs only 4€ less)

Super Flower Golden Green HX 650W for 75€

Silverstone ST70F-ESB 700W Bronze for 72€

Enermax Gaming Eco 650W for 74€

Antec True Power 650W for 75€

Antec High Current Gamer 620W for 74€

FSP SI Gold 700W for 63€

I can't decide which one to buy or if the Enermax Revolution (Tier 1 in Eggxpert) is really worth the extra money.

I would really appreciate any kind of advice!

Thank you
