Plot summary: An ordinary college student, Aoi Tokura, was having a bad day. It was so bad [because] he was [called] ugly by a good-looking guy on the train. Walking down the street in [the] rain, Aoi found a small, but cozy cafe, Rainy Color. He started to work part-time as he enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate he was served. Then a guy came into Rainy Color… it was Keiichi Iwase, the one who told Aoi was ugly!!??
The creators describe Rainy Cocoa as one of the world's first digital manga which allows readers to toggle between Japanese and English text and audio. The manga features two voice casts, although only the Japanese cast has been confirmed for the anime.
I remember hearing a rather interesting concept of reading a digital manga that allows the readers to switch one of the bilingual languages in both text and audio. I saw that same concept in another manga but I can't put my finger on it.
Not sure if I'll watch it, but it certainly does also have another benefit of being likely simuldubbed which is pretty rare in ongoing anime these days.
In short, this series serves most likely as an experiment according to the creators.
