Well... that's a nice christmas gift :(
Long story short, the PSU tripped breaker when I tried to turn the PC on this morning. Now it simply dead - trying to turn the PC gives no effect. LEDs on the mobo don't light up either. The PC seems to work fine with another PSU plugged in.
I didn't hear any noise when the PSU has tripped breaker, nor did I see any flash/smoke/etc. There doesn't seem to be anything visually wrong with the PSU either. That leads me to believe it's not a serious fault, but who knows.
The PSU is still theoretically under warranty (TX series have 5 year warranty, mine was bought on August 2010). The thing is that IIRC I'd have to send it to Holland, and that's expensive. If the PSU would be replaced for a new one - that's fine. But if it was to be repaired, then I'd rather ignore the warranty and service it locally or just scrap it.
Any thoughts?
