I have a PSU here which exhibits the following: once jump-started with a paperclip, it will send power to a fan and an optical drive which I have connected it to, but for about ten seconds. Afterwards, it will turn off, despite the pins being shorted.
Does this mean that the PSU is faulty? Or is perhaps the load not enough?
