is it safer to go for a high rated psu?

mercredi 3 décembre 2014

in the case that the psu burns and damages my components? or are all power supplies prone to let this happen when they die?

how often does this occurs? is it normal?

in my example, i'm just thinking of buying a pentium g processor, with 4gb of ram, just for web surfing and office tasks, nothing too demanding wattage wise. what are the safety advantages of a high rated low wattage psu, let's say,a seasonic one, in comparison with a low rated one with more wattage like a Deer psu?

thank you for your time and sorry also for taking it. it seems like some of the posters here have a lot of experience with psu's.

personally i've been through 6 of bad psu's through the years. when they died they never destroyed anything else. and i was thinking on cheaping on the psu.
