Questions for Playstation 4 owners (seems like I have an issue)

To those that have Batman Arkham Knight for the PS4:

How long does it take for this game to fully install for the disc based version? This is my first disc based game for the system and I'm really not sure things are right when I try to install this game. I bought a PS4 very recently and got the Batman Arkham Knight bundle, and I tried fully installing the game and plan to play it later on, because I want to play Batman AA and Batman AC on PC first (never played any of these games), and...I read online that there can be issues with installations for this game for the PS4.

To start off, I did put in a 2 TB laptop HDD. I don't know if that can cause problems. I wanted to fully install the game, like I said, and it is over 48 GB in size, and the disc drive only seems to spin for a short while. I can hear the disc drive spinning the disc, but it seems to stop after only 10-15 minutes (I just let it wait on the start up screen for the game). If I go to the PS4 UI and select the game and hit the Options button and check the game information, it says the game takes up over 48 GB and doesn't have a status bar that is loading...so either this 48 GB game installs really fast, or...that is the thing, I don't think it can fully install so fast. It seems like it would take at least an hour to fully install so much data.

I tried deleting the data and reinstalling and I'm still unsure of it all.

One last thing, after the disc drive stopped spinning, when I highlight the game from the Playstation Home menu, there is a small white ring with a white dot on it, and it is spinning round and round. So does that spinning ring mean the disc drive is working (it just would be quieter; so quiet I thought it was off), and that means it is reading info off the disc and I just have to give it time, how ever long it takes, to fully install the game?
