Hi everyone, new guy here.
Currently, I have a Coolmax ZX-700 80 PLUS and it's been running fine for about 7 months now. *Knock on wood* It even survived a power outage the second day of use.
But lately I've been reading negative reviews toward it and comments such as "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET RID OF THAT PSU!" and so on. -_- I really don't want to change it because I have 0 experience with installing PSU's and I had Fry's Electronics assemble my PC. They also chose the parts for me accordingly to my budget. At the time I had no knowledge of power supplies. So what should I do?
This is my current set up:
Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46
CPU: AMD FX-6300 (No overclock)
GPU: ASUS AMD R9 280x
RAM: 8GB
Case: Enermax Ostrog
Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler
2 blue LED Antec 120mm fans (as top exhaust fans, plugged directly into the PSU)
1 120mm Cooler Master intake fan (Plugged into the mobo)
(Not sure if the last 4 were important to mention but I thought I would anyway)
I was thinking about getting this one because of it's reviews - http://ift.tt/1FiUYA5...
Either that or this one - http://ift.tt/1Iprqaa
But I don't know if that's too much power. Can anyone help me out? Or do I even need to change my PSU at all? Someone from another forum told me that if it's been running with no problems for 7 months then it should be fine and that the reason it got bad reviews is probably because it doesn't give off as much power as it claims to. But i dunno man...this crap's giving me anxiety! D:
