Chroma 6530

After some serious thought and because the high-end 61505 was out of reach, decided to go with this baby. After all 3 kW are more than enough for my loads.

Just for the heads up for anyone wanting to invest on a Chroma AC source.

61500 series > 6500 series > 61600 series

The main problem of the 6530 is the low inrush readings that it can take due to the low crest factor that it supports, but this isn't a problem for me since I measure inrush through my power meter which can go up to 100 A if needed. This is why CM for example that has an 6530 in their EU HQ's use a current probe to measure inrush. However I tried this method and I found it highly inaccurate, so I prefer to use the power meter approach.

The 61500 and 61600 models, even the ones with 2 kW capacity, can measure high inrush currents (up to 96 A for 115V and up to 48 A for 230V) so they are much better than the 6530 in this area. However the 6530 has line simulation options, something that is missing from the 61600 models (only the 61500 support it).
