Hey guys,
I wanted to see if some more experienced people could confirm that I am making the right choice for the PSU I would need in the future
My rig.
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe
AMD FX-8150 (OC'ed to 4.4) stable at 1.34 volts (so far)
Swiftech 240x Liquid Cooling
R9 290 (2 in the near future)
16gib DDR3 Ram
LG cheapo DVD/CD-R
Samsung 850 EVO SSD
The calculator http://ift.tt/1nS6w8s
tells me I should get 850 PSU
My choice : EVGA Supernova G2 850W
http://ift.tt/1GMAsdi
When I started this I thought I might need the 1000w PSU.
I don't plan to do more than 2 video cards at any time or over clock much more. Maybe to 4.8ghz if I can get it stable.
If I upgraded CPU I am almost certain to get an Intel if the industry continues to make single CPU performance the standard.
Anyhow can someone here confirm or deny that logic is flawed or missing info or something.
I guess I want to be criticized on my decision. This is the first time I am doing a purchase on a quality PSU.
Thoughts, comments, suggestions, critical analysis welcome!:fire:
Thanks in advance.
