Hi! I have finally put my Dell inspiron 545 desktop together installed new thermal past from Arctic silver, installed new power supply from Silver stone and installed new RAM. Computer is working "great". :)
The problem is the front power on switch does not work. It glows amber as soon as the system board is powered on with the system boards power on amber indicator light. The power on switch stays amber even when pressed on and is not able to power on the computer.
I have to power on my computer by putting a screwdriver in the middle of the two pins which probably are the power on and ground pins of the front panel connector on the system board.
The computer is not able to power on with the power on switch . I have to uninstall the power on switch and do the above procedure for the computer to power on successfully.
