[Character Suggestions]Tall Sweet Girls and Rookie-Veteran Rivalries

As the title says, I'm looking for tall school girls who are also cutesy and sweet, and for rivalries between a super-talented rookie and a battle-hardened experienced veteran.

The tall girl part I'm having a hard time searching, though there's Risa Koizumi, but I'm not sure if she does sports, and I found three basketball girls while browsing about School Days and the Overflow Universe. I liked the Black Star/Mifune rivalry from Soul Eater for the rookie-veteran rivalries, I like how both warriors regard each other as a Worthy Opponent.

If you have to ask, I'm doing more research for a girls' basketball light novel I plan to write. Well, it's more focused on character development than the basketball moves, though. So it's NOT going to be KnB for sure.

Spoiler for Synopsis:

The protagonist is a six-foot high school girl who gets invited to her school's basketball team after the team captain saw her potential as a basketball player when she jumped really high as her new friend teaches her how to play the game.

Though she is new to the game, the MC learns quickly and over time, she turns into one of her team's defensive anchors. She sucks at offense but is awesome on defense.

I chose a defensive Center player as the MC just to be different, as most basketball MCs are fast offensive guards. Besides, it's fun to try a defensive MC for a change.

Note though that the women's game is more about ball movement and outside shooting, so don't expect dunks like we do in the men's game.
