Hello everyone. A few months ago my HX620 finally kicked the bucket after 7 years and I quickly bought a SSR-550RM to replace it just to get up and running again. Since then I have slowly accumulated parts for a new build. The last piece of the puzzle is the PSU. I have been reading up and trying to digest all this info about PSUs, but I still can't make a decision. After reading and searching the web, I ended up here at jonnyguru. This seemed like the most appropriate and likely place I could get some help from. Could anyone recommend me a PSU or two that I can choose from or further learn about in making a decision?
My parts list that will be fed from a CP1500pfclcd:
r5 case(2 stock supplied 140mm fans will be used)
NF-A14 case fan
hero VII mobo
GTX 970 gpu
4790k cpu
212 Evo heatsink
2x8GB DDR3-1866 1.5v ram
samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD
WD black 2TB 7200rpm HDD
X-Fi Titanium HD soundcard
TP Link wireless NIC
I will be doing some light overclocking on air for now. I would like to leave some headroom for a possible SLI and/or a more aggressive OC with waterloop. I was considering the EVGA supernova P2 1000W/ G2 850W, Corsair AX860(i), and a couple of seasonic offerings. Any input or advice or questions for me will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
