I just realized that as entrenched in culture some humor or nuances I've seen are, those anime specifically aren't about Japanese culture. Does such an anime exist? It can be anywhere from classical to contemporary, the aesthetic crazy or casual. Mind you I wouldn't use the show to 'learn' anything so much as I'm interested in the sheer novelty (familiarity?) of an idea.
