Something Moved Inside The Psu?

dimanche 1 février 2015

Hello again everyone,

Another weird question from me.

My friend was building a new system and I suggested him to order an Evga Supernova G2 750 since I really liked my unit so far.

We received the stuff yesterday. When I unboxing the psu, a weird sound came from the psu, like something dropped from the psu. The sound is like a screw is moving, you know. But nothing dropped from it actually, just a sound. Then I turn over and over the unit but couldn't reproduce that sound.

We tried the psu with the tester before installing it to the system. It worked ok.

It's also working fine now in the system. Fan seems quiet, eco mode is working fine and all.

So what could be that sound? I clearly heard a slight sound. Did something move inside the psu? If something really dropped from it (I'm kinda sure nothing dropped though), would it work fine like this?

I know it's kind of stupid question to ask but would it worth a rma for this? Friend seems doesn't care that sound though since the psu working great now, but even so I decided to consult your experiences guys.

Best
