Hi guys, found a power supply at Goodwill for $1 so I figured I'd pick it up and see what was inside it. Looks dangerous. It's a QMAX LC-B300. The 12V rail only has enough amperage allotted for 180W (15A). Capacitors appear to be Yang Chun for the primaries and G Luxon for the rest. Called an auto-switching power supply, yet it has a red switch on the back for changing voltage...
Can someone tell me what the brown goop or clear yellow "glue" is supposed to be (or what it is used for)? Can anyone identify the OEM? Included some pictures below.
