Seasonic Platinum Fan Control

Another question relating to my SS-1200XP³ PSU:



I'm not at all impressed by the amount of fan activity I'm seeing in this PSU in Hybrid mode. I've seen the fan come on regularly, even though I've barely loaded the PSU so far.



The advertising material for the PSU states: "At 25°C ambient temperature the fan turns on when the load rises above 35%".



I deliberately tested it at 25°C, and the fan came on intermittently at ~10% load.



I thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt because I was testing it at the 25°C threshold, so I tested it again at 22°C. Again, at 100-150W the fan was coming out of passive mode.



I'm very disappointed in this unit. I've had a lot of X-Series PSUs in the past, and their fan control has always seemed to work the way it says on the tin. Those were older models though. Is this normal hybrid behavior for the modern Seasonic PSUs?
