I am just finishing purchasing the last of the items for my new Photogrammetry machine and realized something, I dont know how the hell im going to power evertyhing. My current problem is that I will be running the following items:
Xeon E5-2620V3
128GB DDR4 2133 RAM
2 - Xeon Phi BC31S1P
2 - HD7990
From my calculations I will be needing (CPU) 90w, (Phi Cards) 300w x 2, (HD7990) 490w x 2 and then a little for the mobo, that puts me around 1700+ watts when everything is getting hammered.
I have thought about just doing 3 Xeon Phi cards and a single HD7990, which would bring me to a total of 1500w, but if it is at all possible to find a solution to stay with the 2 and 2 I would really like to.
I remember a few years back there were multiple companies making juicbox PSUs that would go in 5.25 bays, are these still around?
If I do reduce to needing 1500w which would you recommend? Also please note that a normal one of my projects would hit this system at 100% for 10-15 hours at a time so I need something that will hold up to some pretty harsh demands.
