Slice of life anime with mixed-gender cast?

Hey there. I'm looking for a comedy/slice of life anime (like K-On! or Lucky Star) that has a mixed-gender cast.

But with the only condition that I don't want it to have any kind of romance/romcom elements amongst the main cast.

I've noticed that most comedy/slice of life anime that include characters of both genders tend to devolve into harem (if there's only one guy and multiple girls) or have a lot of romcom antics. Honestly, I find a lot of anime's heavy reliance on romcom antics for comedy stale and boring. So nothing like Acchi Kocchi, please.

Ideally I'd like an anime that focuses on the strong friendship between the main characters (specifically between members of the opposite gender). Like a K-On with a mixed-gender cast, or something close to that.

A good example of what I would want is Sket Dance (if it were more slice of life-y and less hyper, I mean :heh:) in the sense that all 3 main characters are really close, but there's not even a hint of romance.

I don't mind ship tease here and there, as long as it stays as subtext.

Is there an anime like this at all? :heh:
