A 38 year old man dies in an explosion and finds himself being reincarnated into a new world. He and various others dies in an accident that wasn't supposed to happen thus they get some level of choice on their occupation and desires in the new world of swords and magic.

The main characters only request, "I want to eat white rice".

In order for fate to be bent in order for him to eat white rice from a young age he inherits one of the more powerful occupations of "dark magic" of that world and starts his slice-of-life adventure of creating all sorts of delicious foods.

He's got a considerably laid back personality, he was a cook, and has considerably high level home ec skills. Cleaning, coooking, etc... he spends more of his time in the new world doing things along those lines.

Though his occupation/skills are considerably overpowered he has no interest in them beyond that and generally works more as a "peacekeeper".
